DataImpulse Review 2026: $1/GB Residential Proxies With Traffic That Never Expires

This DataImpulse review is based on DataImpulse's officially published specifications, performance tests, and users' independent reviews. We use them to assess success rate, speed and cost per successful request, and we label third-party data as third-party.

DataImpulse is a proxy provider for individuals and teams who want cheap residential IPs without signing up for a monthly plan. You pay $1 per GB, and the traffic you buy never expires. In this DataImpulse review we look at what you actually get for that price: proxy types and network coverage, pricing, success rate, how the IPs are sourced and what users say. Prices and specs were checked against the DataImpulse website on 25 August 2026.

Our verdict

DataImpulse is one of the cheapest ways to buy residential proxies from a provider that runs its own pool instead of reselling someone else’s. The low price is real, but the billing is what sets it apart: there’s no subscription, and gigabytes you don’t use stay on your balance.

The trade-offs are narrow and easy to spot. There are no static or ISP proxies, precise geotargeting costs double, and coverage in smaller Tier-3 markets is thin. If none of that affects your work, it’s hard to beat on value.

✓ Best for

  • Solo users and mid-sized teams doing targeted web scraping
  • SEO teams tracking local search results
  • Advertisers checking how ads appear in other regions
  • Pricing analysts running price intelligence
  • Anyone who wants ethically sourced residential IPs without a monthly lock-in

Skip if

  • You need a large pool of IPs in niche Tier-3 locations
  • You want a fully managed scraping platform rather than raw proxies
  • You need static or ISP proxies

  • 24/7 human support and quick, AI-assisted onboarding

Proxy types and network

DataImpulse sells three proxy types. Here’s how they compare before we get into the details.

TypePoolPriceBest for
Residential90M+ IPs$1/GBMost scraping, SERP and geo-specific tasks
Mobile16M+ IPs$2/GBSites with strict anti-bot systems, social media management, app testing
Datacenter20M+ IPs$0.50/GBHigh-volume, high-bandwidth jobs where speed and cost come first

Residential proxies. The residential IPs come from DataImpulse’s own first-party pool and originate from real user devices, so to a target website they look like ordinary visitors. Owning the pool also lets DataImpulse control IP quality instead of depending on a reseller.

Mobile proxies. These route through carrier IPs on 3G, 4G, 5G and LTE networks. They cost twice as much as residential, and they earn it on platforms with aggressive anti-bot checks.

Datacenter proxies. The fastest and cheapest of the three. Pick them when you need high bandwidth and a large number of requests.

Coverage and protocols. DataImpulse proxies cover 195+ countries and support HTTP, HTTPS and SOCKS5, so they plug into most tools and scripts. You can run rotating or sticky sessions; a sticky session keeps the same IP for up to about 30 minutes.

Pricing: what you’ll actually pay

DataImpulse proxy pricing is pay-as-you-go. You top up your balance, pay only for the traffic you use, and there’s no monthly subscription. Traffic is non-expiring, so whatever you don’t use stays on your account, which helps if your scraping is seasonal or irregular.

PlanPriceNotes
Residential$1/GBDrops to $0.80/GB at 1 TB; larger teams can get a custom rate
Datacenter$0.50/GBDown to about $0.45/GB at volume
Mobile$2/GB—
Intro pack$5 for 5 GBOne-time starter pack; there’s no free trial
Precise geotargeting2× the traffic rateCity, state, ZIP or ASN; country targeting is free

Targeting depends on the plan. On standard residential proxies, country targeting is included and city, state, ZIP or ASN targeting is billed at twice the normal traffic rate. Premium residential proxies include full targeting at no extra charge, together with a dedicated proxy manager and extra API endpoints.

What that looks like in practice. Say you scrape 10,000 product pages a month and each page load is about 1 MB. That’s roughly 10 GB of traffic: about $10 on residential proxies with country targeting, or about $20 if you need city-level targeting. Put another way, that’s around $0.001 per successful request. If you fetch only the HTML, pages are usually much lighter and the bill drops accordingly.

Performance and value

Success rate is the share of requests that come back with a 200 OK status and real data. DataImpulse publishes a 99.51% success rate, and independent figures we found put it at around 99.3–99.5%. At the same time, its $1/GB residential price is 75–88% below the pay-as-you-go rates of premium providers such as Decodo ($4/GB) and Bright Data ($8/GB).

Getting started: signup, dashboard and support

Getting started is simple: sign up, add $5 to your account and you have 5 GB to test with. DataImpulse says onboarding is AI-assisted and that you can send your first request within five minutes of signing up.

Integrations and API. You can plug DataImpulse proxies into Scrapy, Selenium, Puppeteer and Octoparse with ready integrations, and manage them through the API. Documentation and integration guides are in the dashboard.

Support. Help is available 24/7 over chat and email, and it comes from people, not just an AI bot.

Is DataImpulse safe and legit?

DataImpulse builds its residential pool through opt-in bandwidth sharing. Users knowingly agree to share part of their unused bandwidth through an openly described SDK, they’re rewarded for it, and they can opt out at any time. That’s the consent model you want from a residential proxy provider: the IPs aren’t collected behind their owners’ backs.

On compliance, DataImpulse states that it is GDPR-compliant and ISO-certified, and it offers a Data Processing Agreement (DPA). Its public abuse policy bans phishing, malware, DDoS attacks, ad and click fraud, and unauthorized collection of personal data.

So, is DataImpulse legit? Yes. It’s a real provider with a published sourcing model and abuse policy. As with any proxy service, what you use the IPs for remains your responsibility.

Best use cases

Web scraping. Stable connections and accurate geotargeting matter for clean data, and pay-as-you-go suits solo users and mid-sized teams who don’t want to pay for traffic they won’t use.

SERP and rank tracking. Check search results the way a local user sees them. Country targeting is included, so basic local SERP checks cost nothing extra.

Ad verification. See how your ads display in other regions, catch display issues and monitor campaigns from local IPs.

Price intelligence. Scale your requests gradually; the volume discounts in the pricing table keep large jobs affordable.

Website and QA testing. Use geotargeted residential IPs to test your site as a real user from a given region, and catch local content problems and regional bugs.

What users say

We read DataImpulse’s reviews on G2, where it holds 4.7 out of 5 (checked on 25 August 2026).

Most reviewers praise the same things: transparent pay-as-you-go pricing that’s among the lowest on the market, gigabytes that don’t burn at the end of the month, a straightforward dashboard with good documentation, and support that answers around the clock.

The criticism is milder and less common. A minority of reviewers mention limited advanced features, fewer locations in some regions and fewer promo offers than competitors.
